CAMALOT Gemini has established a new level of performance for high-speed adhesive and solder paste dispensing. Exceptional speed and x-y dot placement accuracy makes it the first choice for electronics manufacturers around the world. Since its introduction, Gemini systems have dispensed 15 billion dots of SMD adhesive, operating around the clock in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Advanced motion control technology allows the Gemini to achieve dispensing rates up to 45,000 DPH. Now, the system offers an auto-needle calibrator and a 642 rotary pump with quick-clean cartridges for fast changeover, on-line real-time program editing, and a new board clamp conveyor system that requires no set-up from program to program. Fast, accurate, unlike any other system in design and performance.
CAMALOT Gemini: The benchmark in high-speed SMD adhesive and solder paste dispensing.
 > Large dispense area (19" x 19")
 > Select up to 4 valves
 > Graphical user interface
 > Auto calibration
 > Auto conveyor adjustment
 > Low maintenance
 Up to 45,000 DPH
Proven performance with over 350 machines installed worldwide
CAMALOT Gemini outperforms all other dispensing systems in pure uptime. Companies like ADEMCO,
Apple Computer, Chrysler, Delco Electronics, Micron Technologies, MSL, Panasonic, Philips, Siemens and
Solectron rely on Gemini for fast, dependable performance day in and day out.  Gemini is simply the best built, most dependable highspeed liquid dispensing system available.
CAMALOT Gemini, with proprietary rotary pump technology, outperforms comparable systems in speed, flexibility
(SMD epoxy and solder paste) and versatility (variation in dot size). The result is a more robust overall system, which
greatly enhances the manufacturing line.
CAMALOT Gemini achieves exceptional dot repeatability, whether dispensing SMD epoxy or solder paste. Superior
system design, with a one-piece composite base and welded steel frame, enable Gemini to run all day and all night
and produce consistent dot diameters.
The Gemini accommodates ever-shrinking board geometries and surpasses other systems in dot placement accuracy.
Whether dispensing SMD epoxy for double-sided reflow, or placing solder paste on fine-pitch pads, Gemini proves,
in test after test, its ability to hold close tolerances.
The high-speed dispensing capability of Gemini and its advanced program-controlled features, provide exceptional
flexibility for meeting the dispensing needs of high production electronics manufacturers. The system can be easily
integrated into production lines and is compatible with traditional chip shooters.
Linear Motors and Encoders
Linear servo motors drive the Gemini at speeds of up to 80 inches per second. The direct-drive technology offers
faster speed, acceleration and deceleration than rotary motor and leadscrew drive systems.
The primary advantage of linear motors is the high ratio of peak force to motor inertia. As a result, almost all of the
motor force can be used to accelerate the moving load. In addition, linear motors have inherently smoother motion
and exceptionally high accuracy and repeatability, governed by the linear encoders.
Linear optical encoders provide positional feedback in increments of 5 microns. The reading head is mounted on
the moving part and positional data is stored in a reflective metallic strip fixed to the base. Precise position adjustments
are then made to the X and Y locations of the dispensing
