The Flex Automated Optics inspection (AOI) system offers enhanced resolution and superior inspection perfromance for 01005 components and larger.  Rated as one of the highest-speed inspection systems in the industry, the Flex is ideally designed to inspect a wide range of products suchs as memory midules, notebook PCs, mobile phones, automative products, and other industrual electronics assemblies.
Flex's patented statistical appearance modeling (SAM™) vision technology- keys in on statistically significant variances found in a set of known good examples. With SAM™ technology, you can extend a single programming algorithm to multiple scenarios, self-teach, and perform easy tuning to manage process variation. SAM™ resilience over a wide array of images and simplified tuning method gives you a distinct advantage in detecting process variation effectively.
Flex inspects the most comprehensive list of features and helps you in detecting the widest variety of defect types including unanticipated defects.  The SAM™ model computes acceptable limits for component variation which enables the system to detect unexpected variation automatically.
